A Lost Dutchman

A Photo album

Sometime during August of 1928 a young man from Rijswijk, Zuid-Holland left his home to work and live in South America. As the story goes he really did not know where he was going. The company had made all the arrangements for him. His name was Franciscus Antonius Kemink. He arrived in Argentina on January 1, 1929. He stayed in the new continent his whole life until he died in Venezuela in 1993. He left behind a proud family, his papers, letters, and hundreds of photos. Many of them of his family in The Netherlands.

In this album we show some of the photos with the captions he wrote for them. We will keep adding some from time to time. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger version of the photos.
